The economic benefits of California’s working landscapes are detailed in a report from the California Community Colleges Centers of Excellence and the UC Agricultural and Natural Resources. In addition to agriculture, the report looks at economic contributions from fishing, forestry, mining, outdoor recreation, and energy. In 2018, they totaled $333 billion in sales and encompassed 1.5 million jobs.
