Event: Volunteer at V-O-Cal and help build Madrone Trail at Moore Creek Park!
Napa County Park and Open Space District invites you to their annual volunteer trail project weekend. Come join 100 other volunteers and add another half mile to the Madrone Trail. Camp out or come for the day Sat or Sun. They 'll feed you local food and treat you to local music. Must have closed toed shoes and water bottle. Be prepared to have the most fun volunteering ever.
Preliminary Schedule
Friday
5:00 - 8:00pm - Gear/passenger shuttles run from parking area to camp area.
5:30pm - Registration and camping opens.
Saturday
7:00-9:00am - Gear/passenger shuttles run from parking area to camp area
7:30am - Registration, light breakfast, and lunch prep begin.
8:30am - Morning greeting, announcements, stretching and safety talk. Project begins.
12:30pm - Break for lunch on trail.
3:00pm - Head back to camp.
4:00pm - Drinks, appetizers and socializing. Showers available.
5:45pm - Dinner and entertainment.
Sunday
7:00-9:00am - Gear/passenger shuttles run from parking area to camp area
7:30am - Registration, hot breakfast, and lunch prep.
8:30am - Morning greeting, announcements, stretching and safety talk. Project begins.
11:30am - Break for lunch on trail.
1:30pm - Head back to camp to pack gear and truck.
2pm - Celebrate the work and say goodbyes. Shuttles back to parking begin
