Pepperwood Volunteer Workday
At our November 3 workday, we'll be planting some of these native grasses around the Dwight Center, to increase biodiversity and reduce invasive plants as our grasslands bounce back from the fire. Healthy grasslands make better habitat for wildlife!
We'll also be creating defensible space around our roads by clearing dead standing vegetation. In addition to reducing fuel loads and providing potential fire breaks, this critical work will also increase accessibility to firefighters and first responders who rely on open spaces like Pepperwood for strategic deployment of resources.
All are welcome so please invite your friends and family. We look forward to seeing you there!
