A Forum for Connectivity Conservation in California

Tue, Nov 18th 2008, 8:45am - 5:30pm
Please attend the first California Safe Passages Forum, a convening of a broad community of agencies and organizations that can contribute to wildlife habitat connectivity conservation throughout the State.

The intent of this forum is to build local, regional, and statewide support and consensus for the design and implementation of plans to maintain and restore functional habitat connectivity throughout California.

Day One will feature keynote speakers, panel discussions, and a breakout session to identify priority connectivity issues on a regional basis.

Day Two will use breakout sessions to drill deeper and compile input for a Lessons Learned report, which will summarize the opportunities, challenges and methods identified by previous connectivity efforts. This synthesis of technical, planning, implementation, and policy lessons is intended to be a resource for groups engaged in connectivity planning at all scales.
