Tue, Jun 26th 2018, 12:00pm - 1:00pm
Park Tower Plaza Building Suite 350 (Note different than usual room) 980 Ninth St., Sacramento, CA 95814

The Interagency Ecological Program (IEP) is a consortium of State and federal agencies that has been conducting cooperative ecological investigations since the 1970s. The IEP relies upon multidisciplinary teams of agency, academic, nongovernmental organizations, and other scientists to conduct collaborative and scientifically sound monitoring, research, modeling, and synthesis efforts for various aspects of the aquatic ecosystem. This Brown Bag Series will highlight how research and monitoring performed by the IEP is relevant to decisions being made in the Delta. Access the informational flyer for this brown bag series here.

This seminar will discuss the principles of open science, benefits of using open data practices in a collaborative research and monitoring program, and tools to mitigate potential risks.
