NSAS Beginning Birding Walk

Sat, Jul 1st 2017, 9:00am - 12:00pm
Newell Open Space Preserve

National Audubon has determined 50% of our birds will be threatened by climate change. We will explain the science behind this research, and explain ways that you can help our climate threatened birds. All participants will receive a free copy of NSAS’s “California Birds in a Changing Climate” Booklet.

Afterwards we will walk Newell Preserve, and if time permits visit the Eucalyptus Grove.Trail is uneven and there is modest elevation gain. If we make it to the Eucalyptus Grove and back we will walk approximately 3 miles.

Directions: Meet at the Newell Open Space Preserve parking lot at 9:00 a.m. From Hwy 29, drive east on Donaldson Way until it ends and then turn left on Newell Drive.
