Perfect Plant Picks - Water Wise Workshop

Thu, Sep 27th 2007, 6:30pm - 8:30pm
Just in time for the fall planting season, local landscape architect Bill Snowden proves that drought-tolerant doesn't mean boring. Colorful and beautiful tree, shrub, perennial, grass, vine, and groundcover species will be discussed. Dozens of plants will be on hand for viewing, including California natives. Bill will show off attractive examples of water-efficient landscapes located here in the Napa Valley.

The drier-than-normal winter of 2006-07 served as a reminder that water conservation is part of life in California. With more than half of Napa's water used for irrigation, customers should look outdoors for big water-saving opportunities. The City of Napa's 2007 Water-Wise Landscaping Workshop Series can help. Each workshop features expert presenters, free water-saving devices, literature, and door prizes. And all attendees receive a complimentary copy of the local CD-ROM Water-Wise Gardening in the Napa Valley. All workshops are held at the Pelusi Building in Kennedy Park from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The Pelusi Building is on Streblow Drive just across from the golf course parking lot.
