12th Annual Berkeley River Restoration Symposium

Sat, Dec 3rd 2016, 9:00am - 1:00pm
Wurster Hall, UC Berkeley

The symposium begins with a keynote talk by Scott McBain, Restoring fluvial process and ecology below dams: lessons over 2 decades, and is followed by presentations of graduate student research on topics ranging from post-project appraisals of restoration projects on Wildcat Ck (Davis Park, Richmond), Codornices Creek (Berkeley), Tassajara Creek (Dublin), and lower Silver Creek (near San Jose), to assessing salmonid habitat in San Jose Creek (Santa Barbara), to riparian vegetation on Dry Ck downstream of Warm Springs Dam (Sonoma).  An expert panel provides comments on themes from the research papers, and discussion is open to all.

The symposium is free and open to the public. The symposium agenda is online. Please REGISTER to reserve a program and coffee.
