DWR Webinar: Submitting Alternatives in Lieu of Groundwater Sustainability Plans
The Department of Water Resources (DWR) will be hosting a webinar to provide information regarding the process of submitting Alternatives no later than 11:59 PM on January 1, 2017. SGMA and the Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) Emergency Regulations provide the methodology and criteria for local agencies to submit Alternatives in lieu of a GSP. This webinar will describe the general requirements of the regulations for Alternative submittal, demonstrate the use of the online Alternative Reporting System, and answer questions pertaining to Alternative submittals during the webinar. The Alternative Reporting System is accessible by the general public as well as the local agencies submitting Alternatives; all public comments related to the Alternatives will be made and viewed through this system.
