Beginning Bird Walk at Centennial Park in Vacaville

Sat, Nov 19th 2016, 9:00am - 2:00pm
4910 Allison Parkway, Vacaville

This month Napa-Solano Audubon is teaming up with Solano Resource Conservation District for a special treat! They will tour Centennial Park to hear about the RCD's ongoing habitat restoration project. Along the way, you'll bird the creeks that run through this former farm and learn about the year-long bird study that Napa-Solano Audubon Society recently completed at the park. This under-birded location has a wide variety of raptors, sparrows and other wintering songbirds. The finds from our monitoring study were eclectic and included Bald Eagle, Snow Goose, Yellow-billed Magpie, Red-breasted Sapsucker, Barn Owl, Western Kingbird and many more!

Walks are on flat ground and appropriate for all ages (children must be accompanied by an adult). Please bring binoculars if you have them and water.

Directions: They will meet on the north side of the park in the parking lot of New Hope Church (4910 Allison Parkway, Vacaville).
