Napa County’s 3rd Annual Christmas Bird Count for Kids

Sat, Dec 3rd 2016, 9:00am - 12:30am
Napa Public Library

Families will meet at the Napa Public Library for a binocular boot camp program and then break into groups to survey a variety of habitats around Napa. After surveying bird life, families will be invited back to the Library to share their findings and add them to the citizen science website eBird.

Families should bring sack lunches and binoculars, if possible, and wear clothing suitable for hiking. Children attending the program should be accompanied by an adult. This wonderful event is organized by Napa-Solano Audubon Society and is based at the main Napa Public Library. With their partners at Connolly Ranch, Sonoma Birding, Napa Public Library and Napa Wildlife Rescue, they will strive to make it a real community experience.
