EECNC Showing of Film: “Race to Zero”

Thu, Nov 17th 2016, 6:30pm - 8:30pm
Napa Valley College Performing Arts Center, Main Stage

Only one third of waste created in the United States is recycled or composted. Why? The Environmental Education Coalition of Napa County (EECNC) is helping reveal the answers. EECNC will host a presentation of the film, “Race to Zero,” at Napa Valley College Performance Arts Center on Thursday, November 17 at 7:00 PM. The film examines how our society produces, consumes, and discards products and how communities like San Francisco are paving the path to zero waste. Tim Dewey-Mattia of Napa Recycling and Waste Services will lead a Q & A session following the movie. Refreshments will be provided. Donations of $5 per adult are recommended. Proceeds will go to the “Darcy Aston Environmental Scholarship” that EECNC awards to some local college-bound students each year.
