Creek Speak Series providing Talks on the Putah Creek Watershed - Craig McNamara, Presenter

Craig McNamara is the president and owner of Sierra Orchards, a diversified farming operation located outside of Winters that includes field, processing, and marketing operations, producing primarily walnuts and grape rootstock. He also serves as the founder and president of the Center for Land-Based Learning. The goal of this program is to assist high school students in becoming lifelong learners, overcoming barriers to change, and building greater social and human capital in their communities. His talk will focus on reconnecting our society to agriculture and nature; he will present the work along Putah Creek and at the Center for Land-Based Learning as a positive example of what we can all do across the nation to connect our citizens to the lands and people that feed them.
