WATER-WISE LANDSCAPING WORKSHOPS - "Deciphering Drip"

Thu, Jun 21st 2007, 6:30pm - 8:30pm
The drier-than-normal winter of 2006-07 served as a reminder that water conservation is part of life in California. With more than half of Napa's water used for irrigation, customers should look outdoors for big water-saving opportunities.

The City of Napa's 2007 Water-Wise Landscaping Workshop Series can help. It kicks off in June with "Deciphering Drip" and "Sprinkler Smarts," providing efficient watering strategies at the peak of the irrigation season. The series resumes in September with "Soils, Mulches, and More" and "Perfect Plant Picks," emphasizing proper site preparation and plant selection in advance of the fall planting season. Each workshop features expert presenters, free water-saving devices, literature, and door prizes. And all attendees receive a complimentary copy of the local CD-ROM Water-Wise Gardening in the Napa Valley. All workshops are free and held at the Pelusi Building in Kennedy Park from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. The Pelusi Building is on Streblow Drive just across from the golf course parking lot.
