The Messanger - Napa-Solano Audubon Film Presentation

Tue, Apr 12th 2016, 7:00pm - 8:00pm
Florence Douglas Senior Center at 333 Amador Street in Vallejo

Napa-Solano Audubon will present the film, The Messenger, at its monthly program on April 12 at 7 p.m. at the Florence Douglas Senior Center at 333 Amador Street in Vallejo. The Messenger explores our deep-seated connection to birds and warns that the uncertain fate of songbirds might mirror our own. Moving from the northern reaches of the Boreal Forest to the base of Mount Ararat in Turkey to the streets of New York, The Messenger brings us face-to-face with a remarkable variety of human-made perils that have devastated thrushes, warblers, orioles, tanagers, grosbeaks and many other airborne music-makers.

Su Rynard’s wide-ranging and visually stunning documentary is the artful story about the mass depletion of songbirds on multiple continents and those who are working to turn the tide.

Although the movie is free and open to the public, it is recommended that you register at www.napasolanoaudubon.com to ensure a seat.
