Classroom & field training for heavy equipment operators and land managers who maintain roads and vineyard avenues

A workshop related to reducing the impact of rural roads on streams and well as maintenance budgets. The workshop is appropriate for heavy equipment operators and land managers who maintain roads and vineyards avenues. It’s perfect for those implementing farm plan practices intended to protect water quality.

Training will focus on maintaining and creating roads and vineyard avenues to reduce annual maintenance costs and the amount of sediment entering local streams to comply with water quality protection programs.

Training topics:

•         Road shaping techniques

•         Stream crossing fail-safe structures

•         Following typical construction drawings in a real world setting

•         Checklist for determining whether or not your roads are storm-proof

•         Estimating time involved in upgrading roads
