Volunteer at North Davis habitat projects
Join Putah Creek Council and the Yolo Resource Conservation District in celebrating the approach of the winter solstice through a day of volunteer opportunities on Sunday, Dec. 20.
Both events will be starting at Bird Entry Park in North Davis, along Anderson Road. In the morning, the groups will prepare a restoration site with volunteers, raking the site and laying out irrigation to support native grasses and wildflowers. At planting events in 2016, volunteers will install thousands of plants to transform this upland site into a lush meadow that supports pollinators and other wildlife.
