Help Restore the Cold Canyon Trail

Sat, Nov 21st 2015, 8:30am - 2:00pm

As many of you know, the beloved Cold Canyon Reserve was burned by the Wragg Fire this summer, destroying many water bars, stairs, signs, and damaging the trails due to erosion and falling trees.  The trails have been closed since the fire.

Tuleyome is partnering with the University of California on getting the trails re-opened, and our first work day is this Saturday.

The work will be from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm, on Saturday, November 21st, with the option to stay later if you like.  We'll be installing water redirection features, erosion control blankets, and fixing up trail on the way up to Blue Ridge.

Meet at 8:30 am at the LOWER dirt parking area, located immediately upstream from the bridge over Putah Creek on Highway 128, on the south side.  Do NOT park on the side of the road at the old parking area right off the highway.  If you plan on coming out, bring water, lunch, and a pair of gloves.  We should have enough tools for everyone.

Please come on out and help restore one of our favorite local hiking spots.  It's only with volunteer help that we can get the area re-opened
