First Annual Zim Zim Creek Ford, Wade and Walk

Sat, May 5th 2007, all day
Guided walk open to Land Trust Members and new members! Follow the remote splendor of Zim Zim Creek as it meanders and tumbles through the Knoxville Wildlife Area north of Lake Berryessa. This nearly level, 4 mi. trek (round-trip) travels through quiet green meadows and crosses the creek several times, so bring your wading shoes. Explore the burned-down cabin at the end of the trail, an early example of living "off the grid" in the wilderness. Participants will not hike up the ridge to Zim Zim Falls. The one-hour carpool to Knoxville splashes across Eticurea creek a few times on "fording" bridges. Organizers can accommodate only a few, so sign up early.
