"Young Buggsters Club" Inaugural meeting with Todd Adams
Todd Adams is forming a new group for the young and young at heart who are particularly interested in learning more about insects. This first meeting will begin at 10 AM and last until 1 PM

Todd says, "Insects are beautiful and marvelous creatures. Unfortunately, these six-legged creatures are often misunderstood and rarely appreciated for the many services they provide. Without insects we wouldn't have cherries, apples, almonds and many other crops that require pollination. Without ladybugs and lacewings our roses and squash would be devoured by aphids. Without termites and beetles logs would not break down and feed the forest."
At the first meeting, the group will go on a bug safari in Westwood Hills Park to observe and collect insects. After the safari you will have the opportunity to create your own bug collection or help expand the Nature Center's collection of local insects. Nets, boxes, and pins will be provided if you do not have them. Please call Todd Adams at 251-3945 for reservations.
