Film "A Silent Forest: The Growing Threat – Genetically Engineered Trees"

Sat, Mar 31st 2007, 7:00pm - 9:00pm
Joining with P.I.N.A. (Preserving the Integrity of Napa's Agriculture), the Carolyn Parr Nature Center presents this documentary by David Suzuki, host of PBS' The Nature of Things. Dr. Suzuki believes "GE trees have the potential to wreak ecological havoc throughout the world's native forests. . . (and to) impact wildlife as well as rural and indigenous communities that depend on intact forests for their food, shelter, water, livelihood and cultural practices."

The hour-long film will be shown at the Nature Center, 3107 Brown's Valley Road, in Westwood Hills Park. It will be followed by a presentation by P.I.N.A.'s Dr. Robert Moore. R.s.v.p. to 255-6465, leaving your name and the number in your party. Free to Nature Center members, a donation of $5 is requested from non-members who attend. Refreshments will be served.
