International Migratory Bird Day

Sat, May 9th 2015, all day
Managed by Environment for the Americas (EFTA), International Migratory Bird Day (IMBD) is the only international education program that highlights and celebrates the migration of nearly 350 species of migratory birds with breeding and nesting habitats in North America and non-breeding habitats in Latin America, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Each year IMBD explores a different aspect of migratory birds and their conservation. The theme for 2015 is Habitat. Celebrations continue to grow! Almost 700 this past 2014 year! Support The USFWS Migratory Bird program supports International Migratory Bird Day. EFTA creates materials specific to helping build participation in celebrating birds through International Migratory Bird Day. PowerPoints and educational materials are being developed and will be available in the near future.
