Organizing a volunteer monitoring program

Wed, Oct 11th 2006, 4:00pm - 6:00pm
Tune in to this EPA Webcast to hear volunteer monitoring program coordinators Linda Green (URI Watershed Watch and USDA-CSREES) and Danielle Donkersloot (NJDEP Watershed Watch Network) talk about organizing a volunteer monitoring program.

Linda and Danielle will be reprising the very successful "Getting Started in Volunteer Monitoring" workshop they gave at the National Water Quality Monitoring Conference in San Jose last May.

This Webcast is designed primarily for new volunteer monitoring program managers, or watershed groups and agencies that are considering starting a program. However, veterans will enjoy the presentations and pick up some great hints for their own programs.

Please spread the news about this Webcast to your partner watershed groups, state and local agencies, and, particularly, those who still have doubts about the value of volunteer monitoring data and programs. This is a terrific opportunity to educate others about the importance of volunteer monitoring!

This Webcast is a Web-based slide presentation with a companion audio portion. You'll be able to submit questions online or by phone for the presenters to answer during the Webcast.

NOTE: Registration opens Wednesday, October 4, 2006. You MUST register in advance to participate. To register, visit www.clu-in.org/live. You will receive complete participation instructions upon registration. Please note that there are a limited number of toll-free phone lines available, so register early to guarantee your spot.
