Marine Mammals Found along the Northern California Coastline

Sat, Sep 16th 2006, 10:00am - 12:00pm
A marine mammal biologist and local author, Terry Samansky will offer an informative and entertaining introduction to many of the marine mammal species that share our Bay Area coastline. His two-hour presentation featuring commentary and slides will explore the biology, natural history and behavior of some of the whales, dolphins, seals and sea lions that inhabit the ocean waters of Northern California. Guidelines for safely observing these animals in the wild and methods for correctly identifying some common species will be discussed, including at least one species recently seen in our own Napa River.
This program is limited to adults and students 12 years and older.
