Building Partnerships in Watershed Restoration Conference

Sat, Sep 9th 2006, 8:30am - 5:00pm
The Center for Ecological Restoration and Stewardship invites you to join us for the first Building Partnerships in Watershed Restoration Conference. Funding generously provided by NOAA Coastal Services Center and The Community Foundation Sonoma County.

Conference Focus: The Building Partnerships in Watershed Restoration Conference goal is to help increase capacity of and collaboration between watershed groups, non-profit organizations, and governmental entities involved in restoration activities in Northern California. This conference combines hands-on activities with information-based presentations on issues related to science-based restoration. The information provided at the conference will be slightly technical, but is presented in layman's terms.

The Conference will be held in the scenic Knights Valley, which is an active revegetation site, conducted in partnership between the Center for Ecological Restoration and Stewardship and Sonoma Land Trust. Emphasis on science-based restoration techniques and the use of an adaptive management strategy will be incorporated into the activities throughout the day.
