Jack and Bernice Newell Open Space Preserve open to the public!

Sat, Sep 9th 2006, 7:00am - 3:00pm
Jack and Bernice Newell Open Space Preserve will be open to the public this day for hiking, mountain biking, and equestrians. Volunteers from Friends of American Canyon Open Spaces will be at the entrance gate to provide information and a limited amount of bottled water. Please familiarize yourself with the rules and regulations, as well as the various possible hazards before entering the Preserve. We recommend sturdy shoes, sun protection, drinking water, something to snack on, and insect repellant around shoes and socks to discourage ticks (although ticks are less of a problem than earlier this Spring). For questions or directions, please email us at: foacos@comcast.net , or leave a phone message with the City's Community Services office at (707) 648-7275.
