Cache Creek Wilderness Hike

Sat, Apr 19th 2014, 9:15am - 12:20pm
If you're coming from Lake County: Meet at Lower Lake Coffee Co. in Lower Lake 8:30 AM. If you're coming from Yolo County: contact corr@tuleyome.org to arrange carpool. Otherwise, we will meet at the trailhead at 9:15am.

In honor of the 50th anniversary of the Wilderness Act of 1964, we will hike into the Cache Creek Wilderness and into Cache Creek Canyon itself. The only other way to see this section of the creek is by kayak. It is truly wilderness, habitat for bald eagles and other seldom-seen wildlife. We hike through the BLM Bear Creek Unit and pass the Roadkill Cafe on our way in and back out. This is a long hike with about 1500 feet elevation gain.
