Pope to Putah Volunteer Trail Day

The Pope Creek to Putah Creek Trail (aka Pope to Putah or P2P Trail) runs from Pope Creek, up and over the ridge to Putah Creek, northwest of Lake Berryessa.
The trail is more than half done!

The work crew will hike up hill a mile and a half to get to where work ended last time.  The trail work is generally clearing vegetation through chaparral.

Tools and gloves will be provided.   However, if you have a favorite set of loppers and work gloves, feel free to bring them along.

You will need sturdy boots or shoes, lots of water, a hat, probably sun block, and lunch.   Long pants are best.

We'll meet at the Pope Creek bridge parking lot at 8.30 am and car pool to the trail head about 5 miles up Pope Canyon Road.    Lunch is generally a 30-45 minute break.   We usually cease work about 3 pm, and get back to the cars by 4 pm.

Eric "Bam Bam" Barnet is our trail crew leader.

You will get to enjoy views of rural Pope Valley, miles of the Blue Ridge, and Lake Berryessa.
