Oat Hill Mine Trail Hike

"Starting at the bottom of the Oat Hill Mine Road in Calistoga, we will hike up to the Palisades where we will have lunch before coming back down. Bring plenty of water, lunch and good hiking shoes. This is an all day strenuous hike. Strong physical condition and layered clothing is a must. Spectacular views and wildflowers. Elevation 1900 feet. Class S-11-B. Meet at 8:45 am at the trailhead. From Napa follow Hwy 29 or Silverado Trail north until the two roads meet, 1/2 mile north of Calistoga. Park along the road, or on Lake Street, but avoid the dirt lot at the trailhead. The trail begins at the metal gate. Napa leaderless carpool meet at Napa Blockbuster Video in Bel Air Shopping Center at 8 am.
