See salmon in the Napa River!

Sun, Dec 5th 2010, 10:00am - 12:00pm
Zinfandel Lane bridge over the Napa River

Amongst the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, it’s also the time of year when Chinook salmon enter the Napa River watershed to spawn and leave their legacy. So far this year, RCD staff  have counted over 70 adults and over 30 spawning redds (nests).

Join RCD biologist Jonathan Koehler at the Zinfandel Lane Bridge over the Napa River from 10 am to 12 pm for short guided salmon viewing tours. Drop by during this time period to get a glimpse at adults and their redds! Wear shoes appropriate for possibly muddy conditions. Questions or additional information about this opportunity can be directed to Frances Knapczyk (frances@naparcd.org or 252-4188 x116).
