Watershed Monitoring Workshop

The North Bay Watershed Association (NBWA) will host a Watershed Monitoring Workshop on Tuesday, November 30 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Marin Health and Wellness Campus, 3240 Kerner Boulevard, San Rafael

The purpose of the workshop is to provide information on the watershed monitoring required by the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) and Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) Policies and Permits and to facilitate a dialogue on how this can be accomplished effectively in North Bay Watersheds.

Confirmed Speakers include:

Jonathan Bishop, Chief Deputy Director, State Water Resources Control Board who will speak on the Monitoring Components of the Storm Water Phase II Permit, Construction Permit, Wetlands and Riparian Area Protection Policy, and SWAMP and North Bay.

Josh Collins, Lead Environmental Scientist, San Francisco Estuary Institute, who will speak on his "Vision" for Watershed Monitoring in the San Francisco Bay.

Victoria Whitney, Deputy Director for Water Quality, , State Water Resources Control Board who will speak on Monitoring Components of the Policy on In Stream Flows in Northern California and North Bay Watershed Monitoring.

Dyan C. Whyte, Assistant Executive Officer, California Water Quality Control Board, San Francisco Bay Region who will speak on the Monitoring Components of the Stream and Wetlands System Protection Policy and North Bay Watershed Monitoring.

A draft agenda will be distributed by November 23, 2010.
