If you would like a first-hand understanding of the complex issues surrounding mercury mine cleanup, don't miss our October 3rd tour!
This all day event, led by Dr. Stephen McCord (the presenter from the September 9th CreekSpeak) will take participants into some of the headwaters areas of Putah Creek to see old mercury mines first hand. The participants will get to view the old mines and learn about efforts to clean up the mines, and how complicated cleanup can be.
If you are passionate about Putah Creek, and want to show your support for Putah Creek Council, we hope you will join this tour! Tickets are $65 for members, $70 for the general public. Lunch is included. Participants will caravan from Winters to the mine sites.
