EPA Regional Science Workshop

Resilient Water Management Strategies for a Changing Climate:
Developing Decision-Support Tools for Local Communities

Workshop Purpose

Two regional workshops will be held concurrently on June 8–10, 2010, in New York City and San Francisco. Collaborative meeting technologies will be utilized for these workshops to foster cross-region learning and collaboration. • Climate Change Science: An overview of the current state of the science, including how state and local governments are downscaling global data.
  • Water Management Tools: The latest tools for managing climate-related changes to water quality and quantity.
  • Implementation Case Studies: Pilot programs and case studies of state and local government efforts to identify, prioritize, and manage water quality and quantity concerns related to climate change.
