Long-term Irrigated Lands Regulatory Program (ILRP) Mtg.

Tue, May 11th 2010, 10:00am - 2:30pm
Central Valley Water Board office 11020 Sun Center Drive #200, Rancho Cordova, CA

Central Valley (Putah Creek/Lake Berryessa) Water Board staff (staff) will hold a meeting to discuss their straw proposal.

The straw proposal serves as a basis for discussion between staff and interested stakeholders on the ILRP and alternatives developed for the program.  This proposal is based on the goals, objectives, and programmatic alternatives developed by the ILRP Advisory Workgroup in 2009 and subsequent topic-specific small workgroup discussions. Staff has considered applicable legal requirements, Water Board policies, and the experience gained in implementing the current ILRP in developing the proposal and would like to receive further comment from interested individuals throughout the Central Valley.

The straw proposal is meant to provide insight into how staff is taking into consideration stakeholder interests, while meeting the Central Valley Water Board's legal obligations (e.g., California Water Code, Basin Plans, and State Policies).  Staff anticipates making adjustments to the proposal based on feedback from the meeting prior to circulating a staff preferred alternative and developing the corresponding California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) documentation.

The straw proposal and other meeting materials will be posted on the Central Valley Water Board's internet site approximately one week prior to the meeting.
