Language of the Land: Soundscapes to Landscapes

Thu, Feb 17th 2022, 7:00pm - 8:30pm
Virtual webinar (Zoom)

Did you know that recording the sounds of nature can help us understand the health of ecosystems? Over the past five years, the Soundscapes to Landscapes (S2L) team has been focused on mapping bird diversity in Sonoma County, using private and public lands as study sites, including several Land Trust properties. Join this special presentation from a panel of S2L team members to learn how they use audio recorders, Earth-observing sensors and Artificial Intelligence to monitor animal biodiversity across large areas, and what they’ve discovered so far.
