February 19th: Skyline to Suscol - Hike with the Napa Open Space District

Are you due for a view?  This hike’s payoff is that it has one of the best viewsheds in the Napa Open Space District!  Here’s the good news:  if it’s clear, you’ll be rewarded with views of Mt. Diablo, Mt. Tam, and San Pablo and San Francisco Bays.  Here’s the other good news (with the right perspective):  it’s a long hike so you’ll get the chance to do a lot of hiking.

And here’s the other, other good news:  much of the hike will be through lovely Skyline Wilderness Park, so you’ll be hiking two parks in one day!  As part of our endurance series we look forward to guiding you to this unique park with its awesome North Bay views. This hike will be approximately 10 miles round trip.

Notes about our “endurance hikes” – This hike is one of our longer hike options, with a lot more walking than talking involved. These are a great way to get out and put some steps in, but we want to be sure that everyone knows what they’re signing up for with fitness levels. If you’re joining this hike, please bring extra food & water to stay energized, layers for changing temperatures between the trailhead and peak, comfortable boots or hiking shoes, and hiking poles if that’s your style.
