About this event

Buckeye Forest and Howlett Forest in remote northwest Sonoma County represent two of the most important conservation projects in Sonoma County’s history. The nearly 20,000-acre Buckeye Forest protects critical habitat for endangered species and is now managed by The Conservation Fund using sustainable forestry practices. The adjacent Howlett Forest contains one of the largest remaining stands of privately held old-growth redwoods in the county. Join Sonoma Land Trust and Sonoma County Ag + Open Space on a virtual tour of these amazing forested and see for yourself why these lands are so important to protect.

There is no charge for this event, which is made possible by the voters of Sonoma County who fund the work of Ag + Open Space with a quarter-cent sales tax.
