Salmon and Steelhead in the Russian River Watershed
Please join us for an afternoon webinar to learn about the history and current status of our local salmon, and to meet our monitoring team. In the first hour, we will present a summary of the ongoing effort by California Sea Grant, Sonoma Water, California Department of Fish and Wildlife, the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, and many other partners to monitor and recover endangered coho salmon and threatened steelhead populations in the Russian River watershed, including an overview of the Russian River Coho Salmon Captive Broodstock Program. You will hear from the people who are on the ground spearheading this effort for each of the four organizations present. The last half hour will be an optional Q & A session with all speakers, so please bring your questions and comments.
