National GroundWater Association Virtual Groundwater & Public Health Symposium

Mon, Dec 7th 2020, 8:00am - 1:35pm

While not known to be transmitted in groundwater, COVID-19 has brought the issue of public health to the forefront of our everyday activities. Groundwater provides slightly more than 40 percent of our drinking water supplies — always a public health concern in one form or another.

This symposium — led by William Alley, Ph.D., Steven Wilson, Karen Kinsella, Ph.D., Michael J. Schnieders, PG, PH-GW, John Farner, Curtis Cooper, Ph.D., Flint Hall, and Sara Brock — is designed to share fundamental information about the groundwater resource, its occurrence and vulnerabilities, and current issues of public concern.

  • State and local regulators
  • Water testing laboratory personnel
  • Agriculture industry personnel
