State of the Salmonids - Fish in Hot Water

Thu, Mar 12th 2020, 9:00am - 10:00am

SOSII – Fish in Hot Water is a comprehensive scientific review of trout, steelhead and salmon in California. The review provides the status and trends of the state’s salmonid populations, their rankings and vulnerabilities across various factors affecting status, and the threats they face. It was developed collaboratively between California Trout and UC Davis Center for Watershed Sciences, with significant input and peer review from agency staff and biologists across the State. The purpose of the report is to educate restoration and management partners, legislators, and the public about California’s native fish crisis. The presentation will address what we can do to benefit native salmonids, including discussion of fish passage.
