Volunteer to Create New Trail and Outdoor Adventure Destination at Lake Barryessa
We won't lie-- Napa County is not exactly synonymous with backpacking adventures. Want to help us get on the map? How about a boat-in park with hiking and backpacking options! Come volunteer with us and make this a reality at beautiful Berryessa Vista. Bonus: free boat ride. See the details below:
We’ll meet at the Cappell Cove boat launch area at 8:30 AM and take a short boat ride across the cove (courtesy of the Bureau of Reclamation) where we’ll begin digging a new trail. (see above for the old trail) We’ll supply all the tools and a lunch at 12:30 PM at which time we’ll raffle off some small prizes. Folks who want to leave after lunch may do so but those who want to continue cutting trail can keep working until 3:00 PM if they wish. If we get enough volunteers and create enough new trail, we just might be able to open the park up to the public.
