Participate in National Public Lands Day by helping BLM

Travel 64.9 miles on State Highway 20 east to CA-16 east.  Follow CA-16 east for about a mile, and Cowboy Camp will be on your right.

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is looking for volunteers this Saturday, September 28 at Cowboy Camp.  All ages are welcome!  Cowboy Camp is part of the Cache Creek Natural Area and it provides access to an extensive trail network within Berryessa Snow Mountain National Monument.

National Public Lands Day event t-shirts and a one-day Fee-Free Pass for federal lands will be available for the first 25 participants. 

Volunteer activities begin at 8:00 am and will include kiosk installation, facilities painting, trimming vegetation and other campground improvements.  A demonstration of the new Agents of Discovery mobile app will be offered at 10:30 am. and volunteer activities will conclude at noon. 

Please remember to bring water, snacks, closed toe shoes, gloves, hat, and a big smile.  Cowboy Camp is located approximately 1.5 hours’ drive from Ukiah.
