Coastal & Creek Cleanup Day at Hill Slough Bridge and Rush Ranch

Sat, Sep 21st 2019, 9:00am - 12:00pm
Hill Slough Bridge/Rush Ranch, Suisun City, CA

California Coastal Cleanup Day is a volunteer opportunity throughout the state to help remove trash from our creeks, marshes, bays, and ocean. Hill Slough Bridge and Rush Ranch are part of a national system of reserves that protects more than 1.3 million acres of coastal land and water. To Volunteer at this site, please meet your site coordinator on Grizzly Island Rd. at the 1st bridge. Beverages will be available, but please bring your own bagged lunch.

Please Note: Also on this day, the Rush Ranch Educational Council offers their monthly "Get the Rush" event, where families and friends can travel back in time by entering a traditional blacksmith shop. On this day, "Get The Rush" will be celebrating Grandparent's Day. Try making your own iron nail or other keepsake at the Blacksmith shop. Visitors are also welcome to explore exhibits, wander trails on their own, and bring a picnic lunch or even enjoy a wagon ride!  These activities are free, and no reservations are necessary. Timing and activities vary.
