The Berryessa Snow Mountain National Monument, created in 2015, is a large and complex entity containing land managed by a variety of Federal and State entities, primarily the Bureau of Land Management and the US Forest Service.  It stretches for nearly 90 miles, contains pieces of 7 counties in the mountains just West of the Southern Sacramento Valley, and is still mostly wild and undiscovered.
