Putah Creek Corridor Planting - Call for Volunteers

Sun, Feb 8th 2009, 9:00am - 11:30am
Solano Resource Conservation District, the Audubon California Landowner Stewardship Program, Yolo Resource Conservation District, the Putah Creek Council and the Lower Putah Creek Coordinating Committee will be planting a variety of native shrubs along a three mile stretch of Putah Creek Road near Winters over the coming year.

We are seeking volunteers in February & March who are interested in learning about native plants and putting them in the ground.
Our first outing is planned for the weekend of February 7-8:

Saturday Feb. 7th 9:30 - 11:30 am: Plant along Dry Creek, all ages welcome

Sunday Feb. 8th 9:30 - 11:30 am: Plant along Putah Creek Rd., over 15 yrs.
old only

We will meet at 9:00am at the gazebo at Rotary Park in Winters (E Main St. between Railroad and Elliott) on both planting days and caravan to the planting site. Volunteers need not be experts - if you have an interest in conservation or restoration, we welcome you aboard!
