Habitat Restoration on Vineyards, Ag Lands & Beyond

This is a workshop. Speakers will include: Albie Miles, UC Berkeley, John Anderson of Hedgerow Farms, Carolyn Cromer of Napa Land Trust, Betty Young of GGNRA, Rodd Kelsey of Calif. Audubon Landowner Stewardship program, Ann Baker of RRM Design Group, Kelly Gin of NRCS and Katey Taylor of Icon Estates.

Topics include:
-- Design & Planting of Hedgerows,
-- Wildlife corridors & pond edges,
-- Native plant selection & sources,
-- Invasive weed species and their control,
-- Bird and wildlife identification & habitat needs,
-- Available funding, support and more.

The $40 Registration fee for this workshop includes park fees, the program, tour of the Martha Walker Native Habitat Garden, lunch & resource materials including publications—"Breeding Birds of Napa County" and "Songbird, Bat & Owl Boxes: Vineyard Management with an Eye toward Wildlife," as well as a bird box and construction plans.

Various support groups will also be on hand to answer questions, including representatives of Audubon, Calif. Native Plant Soc., Napa RCD, Habitat for Hooters, and others.
