Berryessa Clean-Up and Picnic

Mon, Jan 19th 2009, 9:30am - 2:00pm
Come join the Stewards of the Lake District for a brief boat ride to a place where you can stroll along the lakeshore, garbage bags at the ready, with lunch to follow.

Those pre-registered will meet at the store in Pleasure Cove Resort. Participants will be briefed on the birds and wildlife we might see. Boats will take volunteers to various spots along the shoreline below Wragg Ridge and Quail Ridge. The groups will stroll along in twos and threes picking up trash as they go. You'll get a chance to preview where some of the Lake Berryessa Trail will be, and hopefully spot a bald eagle or two.

Boats will transport everyone to another spot as we start heading back for lunch. Hearty walkers can hike back along the lakeshore in the Outback area. A picnic lunch back at the Resort will include information on the plans for re-developing Pleasure Cove Resort, the status of the Lake Berryessa Trail design, and future Stewards of the Lake District events (trail work, battling invasive species and hikes)
