Clear Lake State Park Field Trip with Audubon Society

Sat, Oct 15th 2016, 9:00am - 3:00am
Clear Lake State Park

Clear Lake is home to more than 300 species of birds. Join Brad Barnwell and Darlene Hecomovich, Lake County Christmas Bird Count compilers, to bird in Clear Lake State Park where you may find some shore birds, if the lake is low enough, as well as a possible rail, sora, peep, pipit and/or warbler or two.  White-throated sparrow sighting is possible.  Hopefully there be some white pelicans, common mergansers and a wood duck or two along with the herons and egrets.  For the most part it will be a day of typical riparian and oak woodland species with the hope of creepers, wrentits, all of our local woodpeckers, and maybe a few warblers.

Note: there is an $8/per vehicle fee to enter park. Exact change needed.
