State Water Resources Control Board Strategic Plan Workshop
The State and Regional Water Boards are in the process of
updating their Strategic Plan. Interested members of the
pulic are invited to share their views and suggestions at a
regional outreach session, hosted by the San Francisco
Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board on June 13, 2007,
from 14 p.m. at the State Building in Oakland.
All of the nine regional Water Boards are sponsoring
outreach sessions for the public. At these forums, members
of the public are invited to contribute local perspectives
on input received at statewide summits held recently in
Sacamento. The workshop format will include facilitated,
interactive discussions in small groups where input will be
recorded and reported out to the entire session.
The Water Boards will use information received at the state-
wide summits and regional outreach sessions to prepare a
draft Stratgic Plan to be considered for adoption in the
summer of 2007. An implementation plan will be developed
and considered in winter 2007-2008.
We welcome your participation in our planning process and
encourage you to contribute your ideas and insights on the
direction he Water Boards should pursue over the next five
years. For those unable to attend the workshop, the Water
Board will provide online opportunities to contribute ideas
