Join Napa County Resource Conservation District's Senior Biologist and see the Rotary Screw Trap in action! Discover first-hand the diversity of fish species that call the Napa River home. Learn how this effort informs us about the health of the Napa River watershed, including:
- determining if the Napa River supports a sustainable run of threatened steelhead,
- isolating watershed conditions from ocean conditions,
- helping track the results of major restoration projects,
- documenting the presence of fish that were not previously known to exist in the Napa River,
- informing us about water quality conditions
